Greetings from New York City!

Girl Power Beauty was invited to attend the Girls Incorporated New York Celebration Luncheon and what a great time we had! 

Did you notice the new banner on our home page showing how Girl Power Beauty is supporting Girls Inc.?  Every time someone buys an 8 oz. GPB 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner, we donate the profits to Girls Incorporated.  We were so impressed with this organization that we knew we wanted to do something that would help them to continue with their mission of "Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold."  Don't you love that?  If you haven't already checked out their website, you definitely should (just remember to always ask an adult if it's ok to visit a new site...).  Their website, http://www.girlsinc.org/, talks about all the incredible programs and activities they have for girls in both the U.S. and Canada. 

At the luncheon, we met amazing girls who overcame challenges and struggles to win Girls Inc. scholarships and we listened to this years' group of honorees tell us how their work to support girls has helped enrich their lives.  We are so excited to be the newest partner to Girls Inc. and we look forward to working together to Do Something Beautiful for girls!

Can you feel it?   From the days getting longer to the birds chirping in the morning, spring is almost here!  This spring, we have some EXCITING NEWS to share with you.  I wish I could tell you right now, but I can't.  You'll have to come back on Thursday, March 19th for the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. 

Oh, and thanks for all the great emails you've been sending us.  We love your ideas for cool new GPB products.  Stay tuned, you might just see your suggestions available soon in our GPB Shopping Mall! 

 I also love to hear what you're doing to "BEAUTIFY LIVES EVERYWHERE."  That's a motto here at Girl Power Beauty.  We all know that beauty comes from the inside, and it's what we do to help others that really makes our beauty shine.  To all you girls who help your elderly neighbours shovel snow, volunteer at your local animal shelter and even donate your birthday money to charity... YOU ROCK!

Wow.  Time flies!  Just seems like a minute ago when I first welcomed you to my blog.  And here it is the start of another year already.  I hope you had a great holiday and are excited to start a new year.  Did you make a New Year resolution?  I did.  I am going to definitely spend some more time "blogging" so I can tell you all about the exciting things happening here at Girl Power Beauty.

The holidays really are about giving and Girl Power Beauty was proud to donate products to various charities in the US and Canada.  One of our favourite projects was helping to fill Holiday Hampers for less fortunate families.  I wish I could have been there when the girls opened up their GPB Goody Bags to find our yummy products!
